Mosos <HomeMonitoring>
For many pregnant women admitted to the maternity ward of a hospital, treatment mostly consists of bed rest, observation and the monitoring of mother and child. Therefore, under specific conditions the care for this patient group may also take place at home. There are some advantages to this policy. The patient will get more rest at home, while experiencing less stress than in the hospital. At the same time the cost of hospital care goes down. BMA developed Mosos <HomeMonitoring> for the electronic recording of signals and other data with pregnant patients staying at home.
Mosos <HomeMonitoring> enables the nurse to record a CTG on the computer hard disk through a user-friendly interface at the patient’s home. The CTG registration is done using a portable CTG appliance linked to a laptop. If so required, this registration may be supplemented by other findings involving e.g. tension, temperature and urine.
