The increasing number of STAN® users has led to a growing need for training and instruction. The Universitair Medisch Centrum campus WKZ in Utrecht offers a one day course in STAN on October 2nd, 2009. The course starts at 09.30 and ends at 17.00. The STAN courses are aimed at both current and future users.

The morning session will address the physiology of the CTG and the fetal ECG, the CTG analysis according to the FIGO guidelines, and the STAN method. Also, a number of important STAN studies will be looked at. The afternoon session will address more practical issues such as STAN implementation and signal quality, highlighting a number of case studies.

Prof. dr. Gerard Visser, dr. Anneke Kwee and dr. Michelle Westerhuis from UMC Utrecht and dr. Martina Porath from the Máxima Medisch Centrum will each take turns, sharing their extensive knowledge with the STAN trainees. Timely application is advised, for which call or email mrs. B.
