The Neoventa STAN® monitor gives a real-time analysis of the ST segment of the fetal ECG. This ST analysis by STAN provides a clear and reliable picture of a possible case of hypoxia with the unborn baby. Classic fetal heart monitors are unable to provide this analysis. STAN enables the user to intervene at an early stage if the baby is in trouble. It also helps to prevent unnecessary caesareans or artificial deliveries.

The signal from the STAN monitor consists of the following components:

  • T/QRS ratio calculated from 30 accepted ECG complexes, shown as a cross in the graph on a separate slip below the CTG
  • Biphasic ST from class 1 up to and including class 3, shown as a digit in the graph on a separate slip below the CTG
  • ST event like an episodic rise of the T/QRS ratio or the occurrence of a biphasic ST, shown in the graph and the notes overview



The STAN monitor can also be used as a CTG monitor. Mosos <CTG> by BMA allows an optional extension with STAN. This integration of Mosos and STAN is fully compliant with the quality system of the Swedish manufacturer of the STAN monitor, Neoventa Medical AB. This makes BMA one of the few suppliers able to offer the integration of STAN events in a fetal monitoring system.

The integration of Mosos and STAN allows users to process the ST data from the STAN monitor in Mosos <CTG> Console together with the CTG signal. Both are shown and recorded in a single graph. What does this mean? It means that from now on STAN events and signals are automatically included in the trusted Mosos environment.



The integration of Mosos and STAN offers significant advantages:

  • Full interoperability between STAN and all CTG-related Mosos applications such as Mosos <CTG> WebConsole, Mosos <HomeMonitoring>, Overview and Archiving.
  • STAN events in Mosos offer vital additional information on the fetal condition, reducing the chance of hypoxia or brain damage
  • Automatic storage of CTG and ST data
  • Presentation of signals is no longer confined to a single room
