Strategic partnership between BMA and Vitalhealth Software
9/18/2009

BMA (Bureau Medical Automation) and VitalHealth Software have reached an agreement for a strategic partnership. BMA announced the partnership during a customer event on Friday, September 11 of 2009.

Says Drs. Alex Holsbergen, CEO of BMA: “This alliance enables BMA to rapidly extend our current Mosos software application – used in the Obstetrics departments of many hospitals – with transmural functionality. It will make it easier to exchange patient data between the various care disciplines participating in integrated obstetrics care networks. It will also enable patients to have access to their own medical record and electronically communicate with their care providers. VitalHealth is the ideal partner for our future, given that they focus on providing software solutions for integrated care networks, disease management and personal health management. The model driven architecture of the VitalHealth Platform will enable us to bring new solutions to the market faster than ever before.”

According to Laurens van der Tang, CEO of VitalHealth Software, this strategic partnership is important for multiple reasons: “Given that BMA has extensive experience in the market for electronic medical record solutions for obstetrics – illustrated by the fact that practically all hospitals in the Netherlands use BMA solutions – we see opportunities to market our joint experience in both the Netherlands as well as abroad”.
